I have to say, so far I am most proud of completing Step 5! I had started to believe that my poor blazer from Step 4 would sit neglected in my closet forever.
Make a new outfit! Using the item from assignment number 4, make a new outfit . If it’s appropriate, wear it out of the house!
One of my most frequent looks is jeggings, tank or tee, and a sweater/shrug on top. For most people trading a sweater for a blazer isn’t that big of a deal, but I never wear anything that structured. At first, it felt a little weird. But, when I saw how good it looked (if I do say so myself) I was totally sold. I decided to cuff the sleeves a bit too, to make it more casual and also to show off the awesome leopard print lining.
You’ll have to forgive my low-quality picture for this one. I was chasing daylight and attempting to photograph myself without a tripod… then the camera died, so now I was trying to do all of the above with an iPhone.
I wore this outfit out to dinner and I felt like a million bucks.
I can’t wait to see what I can pair this with next. I am forever grateful to Jasmine for starting this challenge and getting this blazer into my wardrobe rotation!
