Holiday Gift Guide for Dogs 2015 + Giveaway! {Closed}

Holiday Gift Guide for Dogs 2015It’s that time of year which means only one thing – it’s time for my annual Holiday Gift Guide for Dogs! It’s one of my favorite posts of the year. I’m always on the lookout for new and innovative pet products and my gift guide is a chance to showcase my favorites. And this year I am happy to announce that I’m going to be giving away ten prizes from eight of the companies featured!

As always, my gift guide is determined solely by me, and the list is finalized before I reach out about giveaway prizes. This year I was very lucky to have so many companies on board to share the love with my readers! So without further ado, let’s get to the best gifts for dogs for 2015!

Zuke’s Holiday Treats

Minty Fresh Z-Bonesource: Zuke’s

This should come as no surprise if you’re a longtime reader because we are huge fans of Zuke’s. When I saw they made special holiday treats they immediately went on the list. Zuke’s Z-Bones are one of my favorite dental chews and this year they came out with limited edition Minty Fresh Z-Bones with cute vintage snowflake packaging.

Zuke's Holiday Mini Naturalssource: Petsmart

Zuke’s also gave their Mini Naturals a holiday makeover. The mini stars are turkey and pumpkin flavor and come in stocking-sized packages. The holiday Mini Naturals are a Petsmart exclusive.

Orbee-Tuff Holiday Toys

Orbee Holiday Bulbsource: Planet Dog

When I worked at a pet store I always loved opening shipments from Orbee because their toys are minty and smell delicious! They also happen to make some of my favorite holiday themed toys for strong chewers. The giant Orbee Holiday Bulb reminds me of old-fashioned Christmas lights and Christmas Vacation, while the Lump of Coal ball is perfect for the mischievous dogs on your list.

Orbee Coal BallOrbee toys are rated on a scale of 1 to 5 bones for durability, so you can choose the perfect match for your dog. Besides being great for chewing, they also bounce and float. And if your dog manages to destroy them, Orbee offers a 100% guarantee.

Exclusively Pet Perfect Pooch Gift Pack

Perfect Pooch Gift Packsource:Amazon

The Perfect Pooch Gift Pack is chock full of all-natural tasty treats. Four varieties of cookiesย (I especially like the sandwich cremes aka doggy Oreos) are packed into a decorative box with a handle. It kind of reminds me of a Happy Meal for dogs! Since it’s already gift wrapped, I think this would make an excellent hostess gift for friends or family with dogs. Exclusively Pet was nice enough to send me a Pooch Pack for consideration and it found a place under my tree.

Cloud Star Holiday Treats

Holiday Soft Baked Pumpkin Treatssource: Cloud Star

Cloud Star releases special holiday treats every year, and their gingerbread flavored Buddy Biscuits were featured in my very first gift guide. This year they’ve added Soft Baked Pumpkin Treats to the lineup. I’m also loving the cute winter packaging.

Mootugs

Mootug Recycled Tug Toy for Dogssource: Mootugs

Mootugs are tug toys made from recycled rubber milking tubes used in Minnesota dairy farms. Hence the moo in Mootug! The tubes are thoroughly clean and sanitized but according to the creators they retain a unique cow scent dogs love. Not only is this unique toy fun for your dog, it’s good for the Earth and supports small business.

The Bear & The Rat Fro-Yo To Go

The Bear and The Rat Freeze-Dried Yogurtsource: The Bear & The Rat

Pug is a big fan of The Bear & The Rat frozen yogurt and ate plenty of it during the summer. They recently came out with a freeze-dried version so you can now take it anywhere. The Bear & The Rat Freeze-Dried Yogurt discs are only 1/2 a calorie each and contain all the same beneficial probiotics as the frozen version. They come in two flavors: Bacon and Sweet Potato Carrot.

ย Busy Buddy Twist ‘n Treat

PetSafe Busy Buddy Twist n TreatI won’t say a whole lot about the PetSafe Busy Buddy Twist ‘n Treat because I just recently reviewed it. Needless to say, we enjoyed it so much I made it a last-minute addition to my gift guide! It’s a great puzzle toy and treat dispenser for keeping your dog busy and stimulated.

Merrick Holly Jolly Pot Roast

Merrick Limited Edition Holly Jolly Pot Roast Canned Dog Foodsource: Merrick

Every year I’m excited to see what limited-edition holiday dinners Merrick comes up with, and every year they knock it out of the park. This year’s pick is Holly Jolly Pot Roast which was named by a Facebook fan and inspired by the cutie in the photo above. It contains chunks of beef, potatoes, carrots and beef gravy. We haven’t tried it yet because we’re waiting for Christmas, naturally, but my experience with Merrick has been that the cans contain huge chunks of real meat and bright colorful veggies.

Hol-ee Roller

JR Pets Hol-ee Roller Dog Toysource: Amazon

The Hol-ee Roller dog toy may look unassuming but it’s actually extremely versatile. You can shove other toys into it so your dog can try to pry it out. You can also put larger treats in it and use it as a puzzle toy. But my favorite way to use it is to fill it with strips of fabric so that dogs that like to pull stuffing out can pull to their heart’s content. When they’re done, just replace the strips of fabric and let them go again.

Jones Natural Chews Christmas Crunchers

Jones Natural Chew Christmas Cruncherssource: Jones Natural Chews

If you’re like me you always stop to look at those adorable pet stockings full of treats at big retail stores. And if you’re like me you walk away empty-handed because they’re filled with cheap rawhide. Luckily, Jones Natural Chews has created cute holiday items out of healthy treats like pig ears and pizzle sticks for a safe holiday treat.

Dog Treat Launcher

Dog Treat Launchersource: Container Store

I admit, this one is probably as much fun for the humans as it is the dog. I would love to try this Dog Treat Launcher out on Pug, but we’ve seen how well he catches treats. This awesome stocking stuffer is available at the Container Store for just ten bucks.

Squeakie Emojiz

Squeakie Emojiz Pile o Poosource: ZippyPaws

Share your favorite emoji with your dog with ZippyPaws Squeakie Emojiz plush dog toys. I’m partial to the Pile o’ Poo myself, but they have seven styles in all including heart eyes and pizza slice.

Greenies Holiday Spice

Greenies Holiday Spicesource: Petsmart

If your dog is a Greenies fan, why not put a bag of these Holiday Spice Greenies under the tree? Your dog can get into the holiday spirit while brushing with these gingerbread flavored dental chews. (I believe these are a Petsmart exclusive item)

Rudolph Dog Toys

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer Plush Dog Toysource: Petsmart

Another Petsmart exclusive (they’re not paying me, I swear!) are these classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer dog toys. Rudolph, Clarice and Bumble are all represented and they come in a variety of toy types. Pug may be getting a Bumble plush from Santa this year, but don’t spill the beans! Rudolph is mine and my mom’s favorite classic Christmas movie so I couldn’t pass up adding it to the list.

iFetch Ball Launcher

iFetch autpmatic ball launcher for dogssource: Amazon

And finally, if you want to really splurge on your pooch this year (and save your arm) there is the iFetch automatic ball launcher. If you have a dog that never gets enough fetch, this might be the lifesaver you’ve been looking for. One of the families I watch on YouTube has this for their dogs, and their little boy likes to launch the balls from the iFetch since he can’t throw very far. Of course, the main point of the iFetch is that the dog can drop the balls back into the launcher themselves. You can set the launch distance to 10′, 20′, or 30′ so it works inside or outside.
