DIY Valentine Treats for Dogs
Recently I was browsing Pinterest looking for inspiration for a Valentine treat I could make for dogs. As I was scrolling by I saw this tutorial for a treat using sprinkles and Teddy Grahams. I remembered I had a bag of Grandma Lucy’s Organic Baked bears they sent me to review. Lightbulb! Grandma Lucy bears are almost identical to Teddy Grahams (they taste as good too – trust me, everyone that worked at my pet store has tried them!) so I knew this would be perfect.
All you’ll need for this super simple DIY is:
- Grandma Lucy’s Organic Oven Baked Dog Treats (any flavor, as long as they’re bear shaped)
- Heart sprinkles
- Honey
I had a Valentine mix on hand, so I poured them into a small bowl and picked out the heart shapes.
Apply a tiny dot of honey wherever you want to place a heart.
Place your sprinkles. That’s it!
You can use this technique for lots of different events using different themed sprinkles. Here I made up a few using an Easter and Spring mix.
Most importantly, your dog will love them! And because Grandma Lucy’s are made in a bakery, using human-quality ingredients, you don’t have to feel bad about sneaking one for yourself!
