It’s finally time for our last #PugsTakeChicago post. Bittersweet, I’m happy to have all the footage posted, but now it really feels over. I need to plan another trip so I have something to look forward to!
Saturday night, Hotel Allegro hosted a private Prosecco hour just for Pugs Take Chicago guests. Since it was in a private room instead of the public social hour in the lobby, we were able to close the doors and let the pugs have off leash time. They also provided doggy dessert shooters – dog biscuits topped with whipped cream. Yum!
We met a lot of celebrity pugs this weekend but we also got to meet a celebrity in her own right (as far as we’re concerned) – Chubbs The Wampug‘s mom! Chubbs’ wasn’t able to make the trip to Chicago but we loved meeting her sweet mama.
If you think Timmy O’ Pug’s sweet little sad face is irrestible online you have no idea. I just wanted to squeeze him! It’s hard to get photos of him though, because any time I was close enough he would get up and sniff my shoes, leaving me with a lot of pics of the top of his head.
Meanwhile his sister and our Chicago hostess with the mostess, made the perfect pugtato.
As usual, Pugs spent most of the event getting adoration from the humans in the room.
Just look at him staring adoringly at Tuesday’s mom. What am I, chopped liver?? (Okay, I don’t really blame him. Tuesday’s mom is awesome. She even remembered that I was traveling solo and invited me to join some of the others for pizza Friday night after I arrived. <3)
“Me and Spanky are bros now” – Pugs
Soon enough the Reddi-Whip high started to wear off and pugs started crashing. After a long day of Pugs Take Chicago activities, the boys and I headed up to our room, ordered Giordano’s and vegged the rest of the night.
Our trip was absolutely magical and I’m so glad I was able to make it happen. Our pug peeps were so friendly and welcoming, even though I’d never met anyone in real life, I never felt alone or out of place! I hope that we can the next “Pugs Take” event and I’m really inspired to travel with the boys even more.
