Strut Your Mutt St. Louis 2017

Another year, another successful Best Friends Strut Your Mutt in St. Louis! Last year I met Pugs and later adopted him, so this year we walked and raised money for his rescue, Gunner’s Run. Thanks to our generous friends and followers, we raised $230 to save more homeless pets!

This event was the first opportunity for Pugs to visit with his old foster mom, Tammi (the founder of Gunner’s Run). He happily soaked up all the belly rubs.

Nature’s Variety runs the treat and water stops along the route.

 

Pugs made it almost all the way through the short route, but when I noticed him really started to lag I put him in the stroller. I had ice packs wrapped in towels underneath them, which is why Pug looks so cool and collected in all the photos!

I also gave Pugs the wet towel treatment with the icy water from frozen water bottles. Can’t be too careful when it comes to overheating pugs!
